ROLE SUMMARY

We are searching for an attentive, doting dog walker to oversee the well-being of the animals in our care. Your primary responsibilities include walking the pets in need of walks and care. You will report to the general manager and keep them apprised of any changes in behavior or issues amongst the animals.

To ensure success as a dog walker, you should be able to anticipate and tend to the needs of animals. Ultimately, a top-notch dog walker will be able to tailor their care according to animals' physical, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.

LOCATION: Mid-City, Los Angeles, CA

COMPENSATION: $18/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring that the animals are safe and walked on approved walking routes
Walk with dogs for exercise and energy release
Ensure that each dog is treated with respect and dignity
Plan walking routes
Dispose of dog waste and clean daycare areas as needed
Takes dogs to veterinarian partner in case of emergencies
Observe pets' behavior and report any concerning issues
Monitor the pack closely for any potential conflicts or escalations and redirect or remove dogs from the pack as needed
Occasionally take pictures and videos of the pups at play for our social media accounts
Pay specific attention to special handling notes, such as allergies, deafness, prone to overheating, histories of seizures, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience as a professional pet sitter or dog walker
Focus on providing luxury 1 on 1 care to pups every day while working independently
Experience in dog training, or animal handling is preferred
Knowledge of basic veterinary care is a plus
Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
Ability to work independently
Passion for animal care and a commitment to the well-being of each pet
Valid driver's license or state ID
Ability to lift pups up to 75 lbs in case of emergencies
